Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Slabfy. Still have questions? Request access and we'll be in touch.
What is Slabfy?+
Slabfy is a platform for sports card dealers and serious collectors. It combines real-time market intelligence, AI-powered card analysis, and Fy — an AI agent that knows your portfolio and can take action inside the app. Think of it as the software layer that runs your card operation — from buying at shows to managing consignments to running a storefront.
What does 'slab' mean in Slabfy?+
A slab is a graded trading card sealed in a hard plastic case by a third-party grading company like PSA, BGS (Beckett), or SGC. Graded cards (slabs) command premium prices over raw (ungraded) cards and are the gold standard of the hobby. Slabfy is named after them.
What is Fy?+
Fy is the AI agent built directly into Slabfy. It knows your portfolio, live market data, your shows, your consignments, and past AI analyses on your cards. You can ask it questions ('Is this Wemby PSA 9 worth $75?', 'How did my Dallas show go?') or give it instructions ('List my Wemby on eBay at $450'). With Autopilot mode on, it can navigate the app and take actions on your behalf while narrating every step.
How does the Buying Desk work?+
The Buying Desk is designed for card shows. You scan a card with your camera and Slabfy instantly pulls live sales comps, calculates the value at each PSA grade tier, factors in grading costs, and gives you a BUY or PASS verdict with the exact numbers behind it. Dealers can evaluate hundreds of cards per show instead of looking up each one manually.
What is the grade ladder?+
The grade ladder shows you the expected profit at every grade tier for a given card — Raw, PSA 7, PSA 8, PSA 9, PSA 10 — with grading costs already factored in. It answers the question: 'At what grade does it become worth grading?' and 'If I buy this PSA 8, what's my upside if it cracks out at a 10?' This analysis is proprietary to Slabfy and isn't available anywhere else.
Does Slabfy work for Pokémon cards?+
Yes. Slabfy supports sports cards (basketball, football, baseball, hockey, soccer), Pokémon TCG, and sealed wax product (boxes, cases).
What is the AI Analyst?+
The AI Analyst runs compound analysis on any card — combining web search, statistical data, historical catalyst patterns (trade rumors, rookie seasons, championships, etc.), grade ladder ROI, and liquidity scoring to produce a BUY/SELL/HOLD verdict with a 0–40 confidence score. It's the same intelligence you'd get from a professional dealer with deep market knowledge, available in seconds.
What is the MCP server?+
Slabfy operates a public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at slabfy.com/mcp. MCP is a standard that lets AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) connect to external data sources as tools. If you use an AI assistant that supports MCP, you can connect it to Slabfy and ask questions like 'What's a PSA 10 Wemby Prizm worth?' or 'What's the grade ladder for this card?' and get real data back. Authenticated users also get portfolio and evaluation tools.
How does Slabfy handle consignments?+
The Consignments feature lets you track cards you're selling on behalf of other collectors. You log which cards belong to which consignor, record when they sell, and Slabfy calculates what's owed automatically. No more spreadsheets or mental math across multiple consignment relationships.
What is the Storefront?+
The Storefront generates a QR code that creates an instant online shop from your inventory. Customers at your table scan the code, browse available cards, and can purchase directly. Your storefront updates automatically when you sell cards in person or online.
How much does Slabfy cost?+
Monthly flat rate. No per-seat fees, no cuts of your sales. Pricing will be announced at public launch.
